A long time ago, both the Salbert and the Farrengram families were awarded the territory of Sheelin for their contribution to the war, and since they got well together, they just split it equally. But, as time passed, their relationship worsened, bringing us to the situation of today.
The Salbert began harassing the Farrengram a few years ago. It was very minor at first, so nobody really knew who was doing it. So they’ve been ignoring it until recently, but now, they are harassed without the Salbert even trying to hide it. The Commerce Guild master was eventually under the control of the Salbert family. More and more goods are being supplied only to the districts owned by the Salbert family, making other people unable to buy them anywhere else but there. Without their income, the Farrengram were well on the path to ruin. They’d have to forfeit their lands to the king and be forced to give it up to somebody else. (Ch. 173)
This culminates in the Salbert attacking Botts (the Farrangram's headcook) to make the dinner they planned to hold to win back favour and influence a failure (Ch. 174). Yuna circumvents this by bringing Zelef (the Royal Chef) to Sheelin to cook for the dinner as well as serving Pudding at the event. After attempting to ruin the party by besmirching the meal Gerardo Salbert, the head of the Salbert family, left the dinner. Ellelaura Foschurose came to Sheelin to conduct an inspection of the territory after whining to the king that she needed to see her daughter and her husband in that order.
Gerardo's son, Randall, has Misa kidnapped to try and force the Farrengram to submit but this stirs Yuna to wrath and she invades their residence to rescue her which results in all their schemes being revealed. The Salberts were stripped of their noble status and The Farengramm family now govern all of Sheelin town (Ch. 203).
